Crew and cameras on the road
Sometimes the job is not a tour. Sometimes you need a pair of hands, a car and someone who knows the Scottish roads and the weather.
What we do
- Camera crew on the road. You bring the cameras, or we bring ours. We drive, carry, set up and operate. The van is a Ford Transit Custom Tourneo with four seats for the crew and room for the kit. You ride along as the crew and we get you to where the shot is.
- Photo and drone shoots for you. Somewhere in Scotland needs photographing and you cannot get there yourself. We go with our own kit and you get the files.
Drone: DJI Mavic Air 2, Fly More Combo (three batteries, so a full session on site). We fly under the CAA’s Far from People rules: at least 150 m from built-up, industrial and recreational areas, and 50 m from people and buildings. That suits hills, lochs, coast, forests and open land. It does not suit town centres, events, or anything close to people; there we work from the ground with the camera.
From the water. Paddleboards, a raft, paddles and buoyancy vests can come along, and the shot can be taken from the water when the weather and the crew’s ability allow it. I check the conditions myself before anyone goes on the water.
- Short local jobs. Ten photos of a site before the weekend. A check that the work you paid for is really finished. A record of how a place looks today. A few hours, a fair price, done fast.
How it works
Tell us what you need, where, and by when. Give us a few days’ notice where you can. We are often on the road for other work and need to move the diary.
You cover the costs of the day (fuel, ferries, parking) plus a fee agreed before we set off. Nothing is billed that was not agreed.
We will ask who you are and what the pictures are for before we go.
What we do not do
Military or restricted sites, naval bases, harbours with photography restrictions, or anything the law says not to photograph. If the drone cannot fly there, it does not fly there.
